Aurora Igloo / Iceland

Tucked into the rolling countryside of southern Iceland, Aurora Igloo offers a stay that feels both otherworldly and deeply grounding. Surrounded by vast green fields and roaming horses, the igloos invite guests to slow down and experience Iceland in its most peaceful form.

During a multi-night stay, the rhythm of life at Aurora Igloo reveals itself gently. Mornings begin with soft light spilling across the landscape and the quiet presence of horses grazing just beyond the igloos. There’s a stillness here that feels expansive, calming, and unhurried making even a short stay feel so restorative.

Thoughtful design and care are evident throughout the property. Guests have access to exceptionally clean and well-maintained bathroom and shower facilities, as well as a communal kitchen that adds a sense of warmth and connection. The experience feels like an elevated version of camping — intentional, comfortable, and rooted in simplicity.

Behind the scenes, the Aurora Igloo team plays a key role in shaping this experience. Known for their kindness and attentiveness, they go above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcomed, supported, and cared for throughout their stay.

During this visit, The Sojourner Studio collaborated with Aurora Igloo to document the experience through photography and short-form video. We focused on capturing the feeling of staying on the land — the quiet mornings, shared spaces, thoughtful details, and the sense of presence that defines Aurora Igloo. We also highlighted the surrounding beauty of the vast Iceland landscapes.

The resulting imagery reflects the essence of Aurora Igloo: peaceful and deeply connected to its surroundings. Designed for both web and social platforms, the content invites future guests to imagine themselves there — arriving, slowing down, and becoming part of the landscape, even if only for a night.

Whether guests stay for a single evening or several, Aurora Igloo offers an experience that lingers long after departure. It’s a place shaped by nature, care, and intention — one that’s difficult to forget.
